If your on the hunt for large things, Liberal’s Library sports one of the largest book fronts of its kind in the United States. It was designed by the building’s architect George L. Pitcher and was constructed of concrete. It was completed April, 1955 on the 40th anniversary of the library venture. Sadly, the signature entrance didn’t last long. Structural reasons required the library to move the entrance to the side of the book in 1988. For more information please look up http://www.lmlibrary.org, @lmlibrary or call (620) 626-0180.
